STRATEGIES FOR SELECTING YOUR TWO CARDS
1. HIDE THE POSITIVE, REVEAL THE NEGATIVE: Play a card that is positive to you as the "hidden" card and play a card that's negative for your opponent as the "revealed" card. Your opponent may assume since the revealed card is negative, then the hidden card is somehow even more negative for them. In that case, they'll essentially hand you the card that is positive for you while they take something negative. On the other hand, the risk here is they assume you are hiding something positive (like a Codebreaker) with the "hidden" card, so they take the positive card while you're stuck with the negative card.
2. HIDE THE NEGATIVE, REVEAL THE POSITIVE: Play a negative card as the "hidden" card and play a positive card as the "revealed" card. Your opponent naturally won't trust while you're offering a positive card and may willingly take the negative card thinking theres a catch. The risk is that since you're openingly offering a positive card for them then they'll take it and you're stuck with the negative.
3. HIDE A POSITIVE, REVEAL A POSITIVE: Simply put, put two cards out that benefit you. No matter what you will get what you want. If you're smart with your selection, the cards that benefit you may not necessarily benefit your opponent. However, if those cards are generally positive in the entire scope of the game (a Codebreaker, for example), then you're opponent will also benefit no matter what.
4. HIDE A NEGATIVE, REVEAL A NEGATIVE: This is risky, but a guaranteed way to set your opponent back. Obviously, however, you will take some sort of negative effect. If you're strategic with your choice, it may hurt your opponent more than it hurts you.
MOVEMENT STRATEGY
This game is incredibly strategic with your movement. You want to get close, but if you're too close now the negative movement cards suddenly become positive to your opponent. Always keep a pulse on whether positive movements or negative movements are a benefit to your opponent based off your positioning.
STRATEGY WITH CARD TYPES
CODEBREAKER: The primary way to get to three Codebreakers and win the game is being as unpredictable as possible. Maybe you "hide" the Codebreaker and "reveal" a positive card for your opponent to lure them into giving you the Codebreaker. However, now that you've done that you're opponent is aware of your strategy for acquiring a Codebreaker. That's why switching it up and being unpredictable is your best bet to acquiring all three Codebreakers you need to win.
DAREDEVIL: This card can still be a benefit to you even though it's perceived as a heavily negative card within the entire scope of the game. You can safely use it to your benefit once, but after you receive a second Daredevil card your opponent will be looking to win by luring you into a third Daredevil card. Now every time your opponent offers cards it could be a 50-50 chance. It's very easy to lose with the Daredevil, so be careful.
DOUBLE AGENT: Yes, you may go backwards one, but if played at the right time the +6 movement can absolutely be worth the initial -1 movement. The +6 is best used when you play it in a sneaky way and get your opponent to give you the Double Agent. Maybe lure them into giving you that card by framing it as negative or offering something positive for them in the "revealed" spot. If done right, you might suddenly by right on their tail.
MOLE: Most of the time the -3 movement isn't helpful, but in certain situations it can be incredibly useful to suddenly land on your opponents space and win the game.
