The key to winning is to find ways to chain bonuses together. Creating a harmony with crew can let you complete a row on the Agenda, which lets you cross out an adjacent pair on Assets, which lets you make a release, which gives you a cash asset...
Making harmonies is the most difficult part of the game, but can be the most rewarding.
Pay careful attention to the goals. Identify ones you can accomplish and ones you can't. Keep them in mind when choosing cards. Craft your strategy according to the goals, whether you want to rush filling out your crew, fill your assets, or whatever.
Do your private goal at your own pace. You don't even need to complete it if it doesn't seem advantageous.
You get penalized for each missing crew member when the game ends. A complete 12-member crew with one SP each is 12 points. An incomplete 7-member crew with 5 SP each is 15 points (35 - 20 penalty = 15). Clever placement, combos and completing objectives can win you the game even if you lose points for missing crew. Sometimes, the player who maxes out the Fail track can win the game still.
The goal "6 crew members with 1 Star Power" is easy to achieve without engaging many chain reactions and it earns many points. Other goals to look out for are "3 producers", "4 backstage crew", and "2 crew members with 4 Star Power each". Also any goals requiring X number of crew members with X number of symbols and goals to gain crew members with high SP.
The biggest hurdle with any board is cash limitations. Spend the rewards from making harmonies with your crew on getting rid of these.
Touring is not worth it. For one thing, it's a bonus, not an action. For another, it takes 6 bonuses to get to the end, using 3 cash, to get 40 points. It's unlikely to accomplish this without sacrificing crew member spots.
