Playing Against
|
| Gigazaur |
Given Gigazaur's ability, the best strategy is to get both markers into their Spotlight Zones. Keep over or dice. This frees up dice for other things. Try to win early, as chances of victory diminish as the game goes. |
Gigazaur will try to move the Destruction and Fame markers to their liking. Counter this with Power cards that move them favorably to you or attack. Make Gigazaur play the long game.
|
| Alienoid |
Capitalize on fortuitous rolls for easy Energy, Attack, or movement. |
With Alienoid's increase in symbols, they are more likely to get the dice needed to move the Destruction or Fame markers at least one spot, but not much more than that. Avoid Power cards that place Buzz tokens (unless you place them where they favor you).
|
| Space Penguin |
One of the best monsters to play as. Once you get 2 or 3 , you may be able to roll 8 dice for the rest of the game. Retain the for future rounds until you get lucky and can go for broke with a large set of icons. With Meka Dragon, use those extra dice for attack and turn the tables on him. |
Space Penguin is versatile and can adapt to any strategy. Monitor what they're trying to do and counter it or go a different way.
|
| Meka Dragon |
Meka Dragon's ability makes him overpowered in attack. Be merciful. Supplement by denying your opponent Power cards that restore health. |
Meka Dragon can kill you in two rounds if the dice rolls their way. Or one round if they have Dice tokens or the right Power cards. Your best bet is either to rush a victory condition or swim against the current of diminishing HP.
|
| Cyber Kitty |
Also a good monster to be. The ability to gain Energy makes Power cards your best strategy. Any cards that improve your buying power are icing on the cake. When facing attackers, stay alive (above 7-9 HP) long enough to gain powerful Power cards. |
Cyber Kitty will gain Power cards fast. Either go for a victory in Fame and/or Destruction or gain Power cards that limit Cyber Kitty's ability to use them.
|
| The King |
The King is a difficult monster to defeat and to win with. If your opponent does not try for a Fame and/or Destruction victory, your ability is useless. Trap your opponent between two Buzz tokens or put them behind you to prevent your opponent from pulling you away. |
The King's power can slow you down, but not by much. Usually, you will only move the Fame and/or Destruction marker one space anyway, so focus on moving the markers little-by-little and use the other dice to gain , , or . Preventing him from placing his Buzz tokens by buying Power cards that let you place Buzz tokens of your own.
