Setting up a rematch, I changed from base game (Advanced plans) to Easter Egg expansion (still with advanced plans), same 8 players.
All 8 players have joined the game, but it hasn't auto-started, and when I click Start Game it says:

Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.
