I am not 100% I am allowed to restart the turn but I dont see why not, as I have done many times during the course of many games.

Played my turn: placed tile and advanced markers. I saw the actions on other players' boards and then a prompt 'waiting for other players to confirm' or something like that, with a Cancel button.

Realizing that I placed the tile completely wrong, I clicked Cancel to restart my turn.
