Detailed description

• Please copy/paste the error message you see on your screen, if applicable.
The rules do not require a word card to be placed for an arrow to be valid.
Directions may even only have a single location left in the indicated direction, which would make attaching a word card, moot. -
• Please explain what you wanted to do, what you did and what happened

Report history
Please refer to the rules under "Tips and Clarifications" (last page):
You need to place a minimum of 1 word under each arrow you use.
If the rules require this, then the implementation should enforce this.
Also, the 'short' rules should be changed, they currently say:
"You can use as many or as few words as you wish for each location, and each card has a front and back for positive descriptors and negative descriptors (e.g. comfortable vs Not comfortable) "
"as many or as few" includes zero.
- Say a player tried to plan a 3-step path (E, E, N) but ran out of time before playing any words under step 2.
- The implementation doesn't fully enforce the "minimum of 1 word": locals are allowed to place footprints 1 and 3 for points. Fair enough.
- If this is allowed, logic would say that footprint #3 has to be somewhere to the NE of footprint #1.
- However, the implementation stops the locals with an error unless they put footprints #1 and #3 in a straight line.
There are a few solutions. Perhaps the cleanest, a little harsh, is to make the planner's path stop at the first 0-word clue. Harsher would be to forfeit the plan. Less harsh would be to relax the straight-line rule for non-adjacent footprints.
I believe the game where we saw this was here: boardgamearena.com/gamereview?table=779044633
Not sure if the game log helps you see anything except a smaller unrelated issue ("[object Object]" appearing in game logs), but I tried to help. :-)
