If I select my discard out of turn, I cannot confirm, even by waiting for my turn. I have to unselect the card and select it again.
When I choose a card to play, I get both buttons gray: cancel and confirm. The only way to back up is unselect the card, or move ahead and pick the color, then cancel. -

When you play a card, all buttons are gray until you select a color on the board.
