This is a question for BGA to ask their developers. In almost every game we've played adults aged 30-65, we have found it more fun to simply color than actually try to win points. When one player gets all 3 lady bugs, we all moan and groan. Would BGA and the Takenokolor developers be willing to let us color beyond 3 lady bugs? I am proposing a setting where we can color to 1 lady bug, 2 lady bug, 3 lady bug, 4 lady bugs etc.. I think I counted 7 lady bugs total. And even then, would you allow us to color every square on the board, aka, a completion goal. It would be great at game setup if we can choose the game end condition to number of lady bugs or completionist. Points can still be in the game. Lot of us just don't want the game to end at 3 lady bugs.

Thank you for your suggestion and your enthusiasm for the game! it's always a pleasure ;)
Unfortunately I cannot comply with your request. The main idea behind BGA adaptations is to allow players to discover our games easily, to be able to play remotely with friends or strangers, and to make you want to discover the physical version of the game.
Our vision of BGA adaptation is quite simple: it must be as close as possible to the real experience. This isn't always possible, and sometimes we have to make some weird design choices. But we try to follow this guideline as much as possible.
A game is a set of rules defined by authors and publishers, in a meticulously constructed universe and theme. It is a vision of several people who jointly produced a fun object. Sometimes this vision does not correspond to players who see other opportunities with the game object, as is your case here.
And it's great! Make the game your own, have fun, that's the most important thing. But for the version adapted on BGA, we unfortunately cannot adapt the altered versions that the players offer us because that would risk presenting the game differently from what the authors/publishers had in mind to new players.
Of course it will seem very "commercial" to you, but the simplest thing for you would be to buy the game when it is physically released.
I hope you understand, I wish you a great day.
That's also what I usually answer, if you want house rules, buy the physical version :D
@thoun
Thank you. :)
