The interface offered me to claim a region despite it being already claimed by other player.
Also I had already claimed a region of the same type, which should also forbid this. -

It happened at #144 but I didn't follow through on it because I knew it was illegal.

You can see that it's the pale green player's turn, he's standing on a steppe that is already confirmed and connected via confirmed steppes to one claimed by another player, and that the pale green player already claimed a steppe in the upper right part of the game board, and despite all of this there's a "Claim this area" button at the top.
