Report history
Movement is always handled in the following order:
- Heaven Stance + Charge
- Heaven Stance + Approach/Retreat
- Earth Stance + Charge
- Earth Stance + Approach/Retreat
In the game replay, both players do charge at the same time but they have different stances. The player with the heaven stance moved first which is the correct resolution order described above.
Rules explanation
The rules state "Movement Cards played while in Heaven Stance move first." This clearly defines what happened in the situation reported.
Given the context of this line, however, it doesn't explain well if the charge should always come before approach/retreat depending on player stances. For that, I have personally spoken to the publisher and confirmed the resolution order of all movement cards as listed above, where only ties are resolved simultaneously.
