Report history
When/if you play the Laboratory that activates a brown card, you first activate all previous played yellow cards, in order from bottom to top (oldest to newest) of your tableau - as happens for every played card. Since you had previously played the Laboratory that activates a red card, of course that resolves first. Had you followed through with this I can guarantee you would have been asked to choose a brown card to activate next
