Upon discard of a number 4 card, the scenario is immediately activated. The moment you click the first card, there is no mechanism to retract the decision.

It is the same action any time the scenario is triggered. There is no error, there is nothing the game actually registers as an issue - this is missing functionality due to unforseen user experience.
