Per the rules - www.fgbradleys.com/rules/rules3/SushiGoPartyrules.pdf
At the end of a round in which soy sauce is played, all players compare how many different colored backgrounds they have among the cards they have played. If a player has the most (or tied for the most) different colors and has also played a soy sauce card, it is worth 4 points. You may score multiple soy sauce cards in a round. A soy sauce card itself is considered when determining the most different colors. Only dessert cards played in the current round are counted. -
• Please explain what you wanted to do, what you did and what happened
Two key points - if tied for the most colors, soy sauce is worth 4, not 2. Also, each soy sauce card earns the points.

Report history
What we implemented on BGA is Sushi Go + the Soy Sauce promo card. So the rules applied on BGA match the rules printed and distributed with the Soy Sauce promo card (the reference is the tooltip for Soy Sauce that matches the printed text).
Still, I'll check with the publisher if they want us to adapt the Soy Sauce like for Sushi Go Party.
I ended the third round with sashimi (green), dumpling (blue), pudding (pink) and a soy sauce (orange) card, but scored no points. I believe I did score for soy sauce in an earlier round of the same game: is there another exception or requirement for use of the card that is not shown on the card description?
