Currently, when "the judge" card comes into play, the blue cards in front of a player are ineffective during that turn. But also, a player is unable to place new blue cards from one's hand in front of him/her. Is this the original meaning of "the judge" cards as well or is it so because it is easier to program this way?
In my mind "the judge" cards now has a double effect: 1) one cannot play the blue cards already placed earlier in front of you, 2) but also one cannot place new blue cards in front of you. "The judge" card does not straightforwardly deny this, only that during this round the blue cards are ineffective. This could be true even though one could place new blue cards as well for the future rounds. Now especially if a player has little health left and draws two blue cards from the deck, might be forced to discard both of them because unable to place them in front of oneself.
I just wanted to bring this nyance into your consideration whether this is the intention of the card as well (which is currently so. See game #625947142 Taavi's turn). Would you consider if this is also the meaning of the card as well or not. The other option would be that during "the judge" one could place down blue cards as well but for this round they remain ineffective. If you think my suggestion is not a good idea, it is also fine by me, just give it a thought please, what was the original meaning of "the judge" alltogether.
Cheers and thanx for the online Bang! It has been a blast!

Report history
I read about "the judge" card from the forums. I realized that maybe the current version is better since now you cannot put anybody into prison as well. I forgot that in my suggestion and think now that this current function is more consistent: cannot play any blue cards during this turn whatsoever.
So, please ignore my earlier suggestion!
Thanx
Matti
