• Please copy/paste the error message you see on your screen, if applicable.
Overall, this works well. Great job!
A few suggestions:
1. On your turn, ideally you would use {You} in the message description so the player's colour shows up in the action bar.
2. You need to add tooltips to the card in the players hand (not least to remind them of the value of the card's suit).
3. You have implemented the Junk Joker versions, but should include the original game.
3. There is a left over card after dealing which should show the trump (standard game) and needs to be announced/shown to the players as it is important information. This can be done in the log if necessary but shouldn't be omitted.
4. Logs: these should indicate if a player revealed/declared even when they are overridden by another player (this is again key information and tells the players something about opponents hands).
5. Player cards should in some way respond to the user hovering over them (e.g. shadow or slightly enlarged etc.)
6. Cards should have a shadow in order to add depth and distinguish them from the table.
7. At the end of a trick pause (a little longer) so players can follow what is happening before the cards disappear.
8. At the end of a trick, add a note to the log to state who won the trick.
9. Display the current hand/round number somewhere on screen during the play.
10. Add a game banner to the game.
11. Add a link to the rules
12. Remove the standard publisher logo icons from the img file.

So, for the standard game, the Joker is just a placeholder. If it's in someone's hand, it matches the flipped up "trump" card. That means that someone has the joker in their hands, but for all intents and purposes, it's a particular card (say 7 of clubs). Wouldn't it make more sense to just keep it as 7 of clubs in the hand so that the person doesn't need to mentally realize that the Joker is actually another card?
Also, given that it doesn't actually give any information to other players (other than what is trump), it doesn't seem to be required to actually display the joker card anywhere.
You may center the table on the screen. The new pre-alpha guidelines suggest this.
In game length you use the word "round", which is a little bit confusing here for newcomers. According to the wikipedia rules, a "round" is a single hand. Apart from that do you think it would be nice to have a single round option?
As far as naming goes, technically a round is a 'game' and 3 games make a 'rubber'. However, I didn't want to use the name 'rubber' to represent 3 games, as 1. I've never heard of another game that uses that terminology, so people may find the name confusing and 2. it's another name for a condom. I thought people would more easily comprehend 'game' to represent the entire game would make more sense, and I couldn't come up with a better word then 'round' to represent the intermediate milestones.
"Also, given that it doesn't actually give any information to other players (other than what is trump), it doesn't seem to be required to actually display the joker card anywhere."
Does it not give them information about which particular card is not in the other 3 players hands? (it could be important if it was, say an Ace!) or have I misunderstood this?
1. On your turn, ideally you would use {You} in the message description so the player's colour shows up in the action bar.
I tried using both ${You} and {You} but neither actually worked. Are you referring to the banner when the user declares or reveals?
2. You need to add tooltips to the card in the players hand (not least to remind them of the value of the card's suit).
Done
3. You have implemented the Junk Joker versions, but should include the original game.
Done
3. There is a left over card after dealing which should show the trump (standard game) and needs to be announced/shown to the players as it is important information. This can be done in the log if necessary but shouldn't be omitted.
Done, via the log. Per my comment above, I'm not sure there's value in actually showing the card.
4. Logs: these should indicate if a player revealed/declared even when they are overridden by another player (this is again key information and tells the players something about opponents hands).
Done
5. Player cards should in some way respond to the user hovering over them (e.g. shadow or slightly enlarged etc.)
I added that as a player option.
6. Cards should have a shadow in order to add depth and distinguish them from the table.
I decided not to do this, as the 2 other card games I looked at (Hearts and Oh Hell) do not have this shadow. I'd prefer to keep consistency with the rest of BGA.
7. At the end of a trick pause (a little longer) so players can follow what is happening before the cards disappear.
I made the pause 50% longer.
8. At the end of a trick, add a note to the log to state who won the trick.
Done.
9. Display the current hand/round number somewhere on screen during the play.
Done.
10. Add a game banner to the game.
I'll get around to this before actually publishing it.
11. Add a link to the rules
Done
12. Remove the standard publisher logo icons from the img file.
Done.
OK about the wording. Rubber is really bad ;-) I think the explaining texts are enough, and the wording on BGA is consistent (hand - round).
