Battle track advanced by one extra point.
-
• Please explain what you wanted to do, what you did and what happened
Halifax battle starting in move 819. British player starts at -2 (attacking fort w/o artillery). Advances to 4 via rolls rather than 3 due to extra (I believe) advancement on battle track after Canadian brigade elimination.
British sequence is:
* Move victory market 2 positions backward (fort attack w/o artillery)
* Flag roll with non-indian light (advance battle marker)
* 2x Highland Brigades roll then re-roll to square hit and flag - battle marker advances 2 positions for total 3)
* 2x Metropolitan Brigades roll square hit and B&T - battle marker advances 2x as one French brigade eliminated and another reduced but then advances one more for a total of 3 (this seems to be the error). The battle marker advances once after the roll, again after French brigade elimination, and again after French brigade reduced.
I believe the right outcome is the battle marker should have advanced a total of 5 from a -2 start, for a total of 3 points for French rather than the 4 points received. This did not affect the results of the battle given subsequent British rolls.
