I just placed a road section, and wanted to place a meeple on that road, but the game only suggests the field, which is already taken by one of my meeples as well as one of the opponent's.

I decide to "go along" and try the field suggestion, only to be prompted that "there's already a meeple on that field" (no shit Sherlock...). So I was forced to place no meeple at all. This can make you lose the game.
