When we started the second round, one player had only 4 cards in hand, 2 players with 12 cards and the last one with 20 cards. -

Impossible to finish the game because a player cannot play a card.
That happened at table 99339263 and 99330345 too. Second round with the wrong card distribution, same distribution like the first table. The last one, one player had 16, the other 8 and the 2 other players 12.
At the table 99330345 we tried to understand what happened and we shared our hands. We noticed on the second round, the cards not played by the eliminated player (4 cards not played) was not given to the next player and stayed in the same player.
So we thought that was the same bug for the two other tables, one player was eliminated during the first round in the three games. • Which browser are you using?

Thanks to resolve the issue with the water sound.
The score was correctly noted at the end of the first round.
Otherwise we don't know why there is a phase with "Show results" and the necessity to click to pass. It is necessary to have that? Can you just pass to the next turn without clicking or just put a tempo if it is just to show the resolution of the higher tide?
I will think about your suggestion with the "Show results" state. For me it's important that there is enough time, that everybody can understand what's happened. And with a fixed time (for example 5-10 seconds), for some players it might be too long, for others too short.
In the current implementation, only max three not-drown players have to click "continue", it would also be possible to reduce that to two.
Good job. We really enjoyed to play and finish this game without issue ^^.
Just to know what is the difference if we play with 8 players there is more cards? or we just have less cards in hand?
For 6-8 players: the author is not convinced to offer this option, there is no physical variant for this game, it was my idea, and we have to test a little bit with more players.
Perhaps we'll finally only allow a 6 player option, where only 10 weather cards are dealt, and there are only tide cards from 1-10 in the deck, so that the game will not be too long because of the additional 6th round, which has to be played. Then also no additional weather cards would be needed,
But I would be happy, to get also feedback for the 6-8 players-option, also with the "short game" option, where less cards are dealt. The general idea is, to only add additional weather cards to the game, if required.
Examples:
8 players with full-game-length: then there are 8 x 12 = 96 weather cards with values 1-96. Again divided in 5 "equal" (as possible) sized sections with the number-colors yellow, green (half life preserver), blue (full life preserver), violet (half life preserver), red. Maybe a problem: 8 rounds need to be played, which could result in a long game.
7 players with short game option (8 weather cards are dealt): only 56 weather cards are needed, so we play with default 60 weather cards, but only 8 different tide cards (values 1-8) are in the deck. Problem: players need to remember, that 8 is the highest tide card, and not 12.
We never played with 5 players but you could expect between 18-20min. For my point of view if you play with 6 players with 10 weather cards and only 1 to 10 with tide cards. It could be the same time duration. Even if you have an additional round you will play 2 less cards per round, so each round is more quicker and the last round is the time you gain during the five first round.
For 7 and 8 players I think there are several issues possibles, in both configuration if you keep 60 weather cards which cards are removed from the game? Because with 7 or 8 players, 4 cards are removed and there is 5 groups of cards (yellow, green, blue, violet, red). It should be not fair to remove cards only in one group.
Furthermore if you add more cards, 12 cards more per player added (for 7 or 8). It is not possible to distribute fairly these new cards in the 5 different groups existing.
To resume, I think the 6 players mode is possible, that just change only the number of tide cards (1 to 10).
But for the 7-8 players settings, I am not sure that works correctly and fairly. But if you want to test the 7-8players settings, let me know. We could be 4 players available in real time (the same player in the two table) to try with other people.
I think the game is never really unfair, because everybody has to play a stage with everybody other's cards (there are that many stages as players in the game, so that is how often the cards are exchanged).
The main problems in other inofficial configurations are:
a) game may be too long
b) card value ranges are not like in the rules, which could be confusing for some people (although I display an explanation if the config option is selected)
So in this case if you want to keep the game quick with not too many change. The best way could be to keep the same number of weather cards and just adjust the number of tide cards in function of the number of players. In this configuration I think that the duration with 5-6-7 and 8 players setting could be the same duration because there is a balance between the number of cards to play and the number of round to do (more rounds to play but less cards to play, also the rounds are more quicker). Furthermore that did not require to change the weather cards at all and the number of life preservers.
