In a turn-based game, if the current player is off-line, but they have no card they can play, the other players have to wait for them to come to the table to press the button. It would speed up the game if it could just do that automatically.
(I suspect this would not be easy to implement, though.)
Obviously would need to protect against an infinite loop if no cards in the deck could be played.
