Especially in the end and when I was a beginner I had the problem that I couldn't find the placed tile of the other players when I just see the history (very important in a turn-based game). If the board is already really full it is hard to find the filled number as all the neighbour fields are also already filled and the number on the board is not shown anymore.

My suggestion would be to show the number of the field if you go over it with your mouse arrow which I think is the easiest option even though in it maybe not the best option for the mobile phone.
Second suggestion would be to highlight the last filled field. Which might give you a hint to the dangerous zones.
