just made my first mistrade clicking the building I wanted twice resulting trading an 8 value for just 2 wood. I have also seen other players doing mistakes with the start coin just getting a single resource. a warning prompt would certainly be welcome in most cases and a very minor disturbance in the cases were you wanted to do that unfavorable trade. In the trade several stuff for 1 other thing it might not be needed, maybe just if you could remove one of the items you trade and still get the item you want.
