I am in the middle of playing this game: boardgamearena.com/9/marrakech?table=251386071
It is my opponent's turn. However, BGA notifications (the table in the top right of the screen, as well as the rotating triangle on the tab in my browser) indicate that it is my turn. When I click on the game, it clearly shows that it is my opponent's turn. They have moved Assam, but have not placed their rug yet. So it is not my turn, but I am getting all the notifications that it is my turn. I find this very annoying because those rotating triangles are very noticeable in my browser. It seems that it is improperly coded when a player's turn is "finished" so that notifications begin. -

So darthdalek moved Assam at 10:24pm, but did not place the rug until 11:54pm. The bug was during those 90 minutes. During those 90 minutes, it was my opponent's turn still (they had to place the rug still), but I was getting notifications that it was my turn. The Games in Progress icon on the top of the page showed that it was my turn on 1 table. I also had the rotating triangle on my browser tabs to indicate it was my turn. When I clicked on the Games in Progress button on the top right of the site, it would take me to this game with darthdalek, because that was supposedly the table that was waiting for my move. But it was still his turn, not mine.
When I opened up the sidebar by clicking on my avatar, it would show the game with darthdalek and say "It's your turn!" in red. But when I clicked, it was still his turn, not mine, because darthdalek had to place the rug.
When I went to boardgamearena.com/gameinprogress and looked at the game against darthdalek, it would show the clock spinning under my name. However, when I clicked on the game, it was still darthdalek's turn -- they still had to place their rug.
This bug continued until darthdalek placed their rug on at 11:54pm and finished their turn. But for those 90 minutes, the bug caused BGA notifications to think it was my turn on this table. I also wonder whose time was being reduced during those 90 minutes. It would not be right if my clock was being reduced. It will probably not be an issue in this match, but it could be an issue in another game.
Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.
In any case, when filling a bug report, make sure to have an explicit title linked to the incident (ex: with error message), so other players can recognize it and vote for it.
