Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. Love this idea and the reasoning behind it.
Taking your initial proposal and playing with it a bit, here's an Option B:
# of points from rows with brickwork
# of points from rows with all windows
# of points from columns with brickwork
# of points from columns with all windows
# of empty spaces
My thinking here is that it might be easier to analyze how much going for all windows in rows or columns matters for winning. I think you could still get some of that info in the initial proposal, but I'm wondering if this would be more direct.
Let me know what you think!
I think it would also be interesting to see # of color pieces used. Maybe there’s a dominant strategy with taking blue pieces or red pieces. Or maybe all the top winners have a good mix of all the colors? I dunno, just throwing things out there. Doesn’t affect me much anyway.
Perhaps option C where you do all of option B but add in #of rows/columns completed and then no math is required for any stats!
But on the other hand, this lightweight game has not much of strategy anyway, so I personally don't think you have to have that.
I've implemented Option B. It'll go out with the next build.
I believe the way I've implemented it, it should be correct for most games that are currently in progress when the build goes out.
There may be a few edge cases - like if its very near to the end of the game when the new stats are released, it may not be updated if the player doesn't put down another tile.
Once games in those states finish up, though - all other games - and all new games - should report the stats correctly.
