A usual bowling score bar has only 10 frames. To allow the last throws after a possible strike on the 1st ball of the 10 round, there is 3 little squares in the 10th frame, instead of the usual 2.
I don't know if i'm very clear, i'll let an image below :)
PS : also, after a strike, there is generally nothing. Just an X, no X- :) -
