Similar happened to me, possibly same bug so I’m logging it here rather than starting a new thread.

Didn’t screencap, sorry, but what happened was when the turn came to me, the first roll happened but then I was prompted to BUY CARD or END TURN - was not given reroll options. I could not see my dice in the main area at that point, had to check the game log thing in the right hand column to even confirm dice had been rolled.
At this point there were 3 of us playing. None of us had seen this bug before, and it only happened the one time in that game. I was on an iPad running the latest i OS. My internet connection was a little glitchy for this game, if that matters.
My opponents graciously offered a vote on abandoning the game, but I suggested we play through to the end.

I had a similar issue, where after my 3rd roll. The hourglass kept loading. I had the hibernation card.

I believe it's less "the turn starts at buy phase" and more "we can't reach the buy phase"—
this report records that some people get first roll and then jump straight to buy phase/end turn without being able to reroll or do anything, while players with the hibernation card can reroll up to the 3rd roll, but not resolve those rolls or move forward.
I believe it's not the same bug as the one described here and started a new report about it: boardgamearena.com/bug?id=75721

I had the bug for the first time. My turn starts at buying phase. The chat describes my 1st roll but nothing else. Not even the effect of the 1st roll was applied. Only buttons available is buying phase buttons.

There is an obvious commonality in all the reports, and in the report I raised the other day when I experienced this same bug. On every occasion, a player has used a Cultist to gain energy between turns, and the next player's turn has seen the bug arise. There is probably more to it than just Cultist use, but it's clearly a trigger for the issue.

Same thing happened at Table 564063398 at Turn 91/92. I had the automatic leave Tokyo set and had to use Cultists to keep from dying. After using the cultists, it switched to my turn but immediately skipped. The log shows a dice roll for me but as with alextingle above, no prompts, resolution, or anything.

Same problem: turn skipped straight to buy phase without player clicking anything. No evolution card had been played. The log shows a dice roll but the dice did not appear on-screen nor were there any prompts, etc. The dice (2 claws, 1 heart, 1 energy) did not have any game effect. Refreshing the browser did not resolve the issue. Issue did not repeat.

I was in Tokyo and used a cultist to gain a heart to not be eliminated and then when that player's turn ended it jumped me right to choosing whether to buy a card or not. I didn't get to do any rolls.

Probably the same happened at table # 676140836, immediately before I was skipped.
My turn started with the prompt to buy a card or reroll the cards, without diceroll. The first diceroll appeared in the game log, but the results were not counted by the game. Reloading didn't help. When closing the tab and opening boardgamearena again, the game did not exist from my perspective until after it had concluded (different from normal games when I'm already out or skipped)

The game automatically rolled my dice and resolved the dice after the first roll. I was not logged in when this happened so I was never given the opportunity to see the roll, to reroll, or resolve when I wanted to.

F5 did not solve the problem. I asked to abandon the game collectively but the other players did not agree.
