But its just a perspective, not saying its in the rule :)
Also, an electromagnetic pulse disables ELECTRONIC devices. Dynamite is a physical device and would be unaffected by EMP (IRL). Not saying the rules agree, but Burgle Bros DOES stick pretty tight to its 'real life' theme...

As for realism, it's worth remembering that the guard will come to the room with a giant hole you blew in the wall, see nobody is there, and then give an All's Clear and deactivate the alarm before they *leave the room normally* and not even look through the hole, let alone step through it.
Also apparently you can't just leave a deadbolt unlocked when you leave.
"Realism" is not an argument to be making here
