As you can choose the base language, there should really be an option for which English you want to play in, you might not realise it, but it happens so often that there's some obscure American variant that you've never heard of that sort of ruins the game.
e.g. Baseboard, no one has a clue what it is, it's just frustrating that it wasn't in the known UK English of "Skirting", no one knows Baseboard, no one knows what to draw for it and no one can guess it properly, they'll guess Skirting as it should be (There are no Americans in our group) -

Report history
In our game, there were no Americans, but I can definitely see the opposite of a game majority with Americans and maybe a single Brit who guessed Skirting and gets a bit soured by the fact that they were right they just didn't KNOW the obscure US phrasing
