Detailed description

The current rules is a restrictive variant, and not the much more widespread (and more interesting imo) rules:
"The winner of the previous game starts a round with any valid Tiến Lên card set" (for reference: www.vinagames.com/tienlen.php , en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ti%E1%BA%BFn_l%C3%AAn or any popular app)
- The starting player is always the player who won the previous round (or 3 spades if it's the first round)
- That player can play ANY card, and is not forced to play the 3 of spades
It seems like a little change, but it greatly improves the game:
- it's not rare that the 3 is played as a final meld, when part of a low straight combo. Being forced to play that 3 is sometimes really frustrating and can mess a good hand for no reason.
- begining a new round first give an higher incentive to finish 1st / take risk. Tien len is all about that tension, 1st place should be rewarding.

What I suggest is that the last place player will start first with no restrictions to have a catch up mechanic so the games will be closer. This will make getting 1st place for the max points a huge deal, especially for the last round were everyone can will with 1st place. What do you think of this suggestion?
However i really think the requirement to play 3 of spades in the first meld should be removed (or proposed as an option)
New name... I really don't know . Maybe just "alternative"?
- First round:
- Player with the lowest card value and ranking starts first
- That starting player must use that card in their new starting combination
- Rounds after the first round:
- The 1st place winner of the previous round starts first
- That starting player has no card restriction in their new starting combination
I made this decision because of how different the environment of playing online on BGA vs playing physically during Tet. I believe that making this change as the default mode will help promote this game for the competitive players. It will be good if this game can be played in arena games and tournaments. Thank you for your help!!
