If a player in the top ten in arena ceases to play for a pre-determined number of days (perhaps 10 would be fair) they should start losing points on a daily basis (perhaps 5 to 10 daily). This would prevent a player becoming a champion simply as a result of a winning streak followed by non-play to maintain their position.
The current H&F champion did not play for weeks prior to the end of the season to prevent the loss of points which would have been inevitable with continued play. -
