Upon starting the game the hex grid and deployed ships (duel training map) are not visible.

F5 fixes it.

I am on Ubuntu 20.04, it may be that. I have no issue with starting other games on BGA.

The deployment box is visible, though.

Perhaps you can open debug console of your browser and tell me if you see some error messages before refreshing it.

It seems you are alone.
Perhaps could you try to download chrome.

In the typical manner of these sort of bugs it no longer happens.

May be I needed to refresh or restart Firefox for some reason.

Got the same empty behaviour, f5 loads the game properly. (Trying solo tutorial game)
