Can you help me understand the 6 clicks? I just tested and only 4 clicks are required to draw 2 cards (tap card, tap confirm, tap card, tap confirm).
Confirm is critical to be accessible for mobile users, because otherwise misclicks are very easy when scrolling.
1. Click card + click button is consistent throughout the game. Changing this in the few cases that allow multi-select might be confusing, since players might be able to select too many cards, and that situation has to be handled to allow them to revert it or cancel the selected cards.
2. Multi-select causes an unclear situation with "When picked" abilities that give more cards (Outer Space abilities). The programming becomes complex if someone picks 2 Shapeshifters for example.
3. It causes an unpleasant situation due to the inability to undo (requested by publisher and/or BGA to reduce confirmation and clicks). If I have 2 picks and use 1, I am allowed to reset my picks. If I have 2 picks and use 2, I am not allowed to undo out of the removal phase. Result: If I have 2 picks and use 2, it instantly ends the pick phase, which could be due to someone misclicking an extra card while trying to scroll.
Reasons 2 and 3 are the big ones. It would be a substantial programming time investment to save 1 click (click click confirm instead of click confirm click confirm). And, it could lead to worse misclicks on mobile. I will leave it open for now in case we get a lot of votes, but I am inclined against it.
I am rejecting at this time, but users are welcome to comment with ideas. If it is a critical need and BGA / the publisher agrees, it might be considered in the future.
