* have a way to activate the shadow easily
* have the arrow not be shadowed, making it easier to see them
An arrow count was recently added to the upper-right corner. Maybe if you hover over these (or long press on mobile), that color arrow is highlighted, bolded, or something to make it clear where these arrows are. And maybe a marker where the current end of the path is.
