Tactics
Try to set yourself up for the best possible discard run: Matching the number on the discard pile with cards in your hand (ex. orange 8 on the discard pile, three 8's in your hand).
Yellows and Oranges
- There are more high cards than lower, so in general get rid of single mid-value cards (yellow and orange) as much as possible.
- Single yellow and orange cards can increase your score at the end of a round. Work instead to "find" blues and greens.
- If you have more than one orange card, save them for a discard run, especially if that leaves lots of greens and blues in your hand.
- If you have to choose which card to play, always play a yellow before an orange. This increases your chances of getting rid of an orange in a discard run.
Reds
- Do not follow the temptation to hold multiple high red cards thinking you'll be able to unload them easier in a discard run at the end of the round.
- Alternatively, use single red cards to "hunt" for greens and blues, especially if you start the round with very few greens or blues.
- When possible, start your round getting rid of a high card (red) that matches the discard pile followed by your lowest mid-value card (yellow and orange).
Blues and Greens
- If possible, look for multiple greens of similar value to play a late discard run when other players unload their lowest cards during Mojo Time.
