As night falls over Tokyo, two massive figures rise from the smoke of destroyed skyscrapers. On the left corner, a 5 story-building sized robot kitten. On my right, an humonguous monkey grabbing a skyscrapper: Who is gonna be the king of the city?

There can only be one- whether by crushing their rival in battle or striking fear into the hearts of the masses…

King of Tokyo: Duel is a standalone adaptation of the classic game King of Tokyo (available here), now fully reimagined for intense one-on-one battles!

In this edition, iconic monsters face off in an epic duel that blends strategy, boldness, and luck. Every dice roll and every card played could lead you closer to victory- or to your downfall. It is an all-new experience for players who love strategic combat while keeping the excitement, fast pace, and signature fun of King of Tokyo!

Each player controls a fearsome monster with a unique ability, fighting to claim dominance over Tokyo. The game unfolds on a two-track board representing Fame and Destruction.

Players roll dice to perform actions such as attacking their opponent, healing, gaining energy, or purchasing powerful cards. These cards grant strategic advantages, allowing players to customize their monster and catch their rival off guard.

Players have up to three dice rolls per turn, rerolling as many dice as they like to optimize their results. The dice feature six different symbols: Attack, Heal, Energy, Fame, Destruction and ! (Monster power). After rolling, players resolve their actions based on their final results- inflicting damage, healing, accumulating energy to buy power cards, or advancing along the Glory and Destruction tracks. The first player to reach the Victory space on either track or to reduce their opponent’s health to zero wins the game.

With its fast-paced mechanics, diverse power cards, and dynamic dice system, every match is unique and full of unexpected twists. Whether you are out to prove your supremacy or just looking for thrilling fun, King of Tokyo: Duel delivers an intense and entertaining experience!
