EenWelcome to *CuBirds*!
In this game, you will help birds organize in *flocks* to *fly home*. Group birds of one species together in your hand, then have them take flight to *collect cards* from this species.
The first player to have *7 different species* in their collection or *2 species of at least 3 birds* wins!1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000
EenOn your turn, first you have to *lay birds*. This action is mandatory.
Select the *Owl* in your hand, then lay it to the right of the *Toucan* on the 4th line.2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment010table_cards_line_3_item_10000000 18 myhand_item_75 17
EenCongratulations! You *surrounded* (or "sandwiched") one Toucan and one Magpie between Owls, which made these two birds *fly to your hand*.
This is how you can get the birds that you want to group together in your hand.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b104a6645900
EenNow you have gathered 3 Toucans in your hand, creating a *small flock* (first number in the top right of the card).
You could make them *fly home*, but there are more Toucans in play. You can certainly get one more. Then you will have the 4 you need to create a *big flock* (second number in the top right of the card).
If you can have a big flock, you want one! So let's click *Pass* for now.2myhand_item_3614b104a6645910pass_button 16
EenYour opponent just left you another Toucan on the first line!
You need only one, but let's take 2 anyway, just for fun.
Surround these Toucans with Pink flamingoes!1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b1085cfd8310table_cards_line_0_item_10000000 18 myhand_item_81 17
EenNow with more than 4 Toucans in hand you have a *big flock*. Grouping more doesn't make a super-big flock, so let's just fly home now.
Select the Toucan species in your hand (clicking any card will select the full species), then *fly home*!1myhand_item_3614b10b1d9fd710completeFlock_button 18 myhand_item_48 17
EenWell done! You have added *2 Toucans* to your collection. If you had flown with a small flock instead of a big flock, you would have received *only one*. That was a good move!
[tip] Note that your collection was seeded with a *random bird* at the start of the game. That Robin was free :)1played_1163711_item_3614b10bf7e51e00played_1163711_item_3 1 played_1163711_item_19 1
EenNow what happens if you don't manage to surround some birds?
Let's try it! Move your Parrot to the right of the Magpie on the second line.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b10fa53aa910table_cards_line_1_item_10000000 18 myhand_item_108 17
EenThat's it... *Nothing* happens. You don't get any birds.
But as a compensation, you can choose to *draw two cards* from the deck. So if you want a bird that's not in play, you can try that, and *count on your luck*.
For now, let's say we are not interested, and *Pass*. We'll see why later.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b1121a096810pass_button 16
EenLooks like your opponent left you *3 Pink flamingoes* in the 1st line. Is that guy trying to help you? In a tutorial that can happen, but don't expect it from real opponents! ;)
Use your Magpies to surround the Pink flamingoes from the left.
[tip] When you lay down birds, it's always *all birds* of the same species. You only need to click one to select all of them.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b115dd579d10table_cards_line_0_item_-10000000 18 myhand_item_2 17
EenNow we have a *big flock* of Pink Flamingoes. This bird is rarely seen in large groups in *CuBirds*, probably because cubic flamingoes are little shy.
No reason to wait then, *fly them home*!1myhand_item_32614b115fd839f10completeFlock_button 18 myhand_item_81 17
EenFinally, let's see what happens when you have *no cards left* in hand. Only two left, that will be quick!
Discard your Reed warbler to the right of the 3rd line.
[tip] Yes, we also discovered that there is a bird called "Reed warbler" while playing this game. You are not alone.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b117eb0fd410table_cards_line_2_item_10000000 18 myhand_item_69 17
EenThen discard your Robin to the right of the 1st line.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b11a5b867910table_cards_line_0_item_10000000 18 myhand_item_53 17
EenHere we are! Just like before, you can *draw two cards* or *pass*. If you draw, the round continues.
But if you pass and end your turn with no cards left in hand, this *ends the round*.
You have been watching and know that your opponent is close to getting a flock. Ending the turn now will prevent him to finish. So... let's do that of course! :D
Click *Pass and trigger a new round*.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b11aaa81fe10pass_button 16
EenA new round starts! Each player *discards all cards in hand* and gets a new one.
Now your opponent can just start again building this flock he was close to finishing :)1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment614b11af582e000
EenThat's all! The game continues until one of the players manages to get in their collection:
- either *7 different species*

- or *2 species with at least 3 birds*

Have fun, and *fly home safely*!
