Nekonyancer*Farm Club* is a worker-placement game played in *9 rounds.* During each round, players choose a set made up of one Goal card and one Animal pawn to be added to their farm. At the end of the game, everyone's farms will be completely filled up, and points will be awarded according to the goal cards they collected and scored along the way. NekonyancerYou have two options on your turn: "Hire an Animal" and "Elect a Leader." You can elect a leader only *one time* throughout the game. The rest of the time, you'll be hiring animals. Let's try it! *Click on "Hire an Animal" at the top!*4btnStartHire

NekonyancerThis is the *hiring area.* They have *[blue]three sets*[/blue] available. Each set offers one *goal card* and *one animal.* [green][tip] You can hover over each goal with your mouse to see what it does!1hiring-container

NekonyancerThere are two kinds of goals. [red]*Immediate goals*[/red] have a lightning bolt in the top-right corner. They award points at the end of a turn if the conditions are met. If the conditions change afterward, you don't lose the points! [blue]*Deferred goals*[/blue] have an hourglass in the corner. They only award points at the end of the game.2hiring-container

NekonyancerNext, we have to choose where to place the pig on our farm. Your farm is a *3x3 square,* and each zone can only contain *one animal.*1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

NekonyancerThere are three special zones. [red]*These two zones*[/red] have species tokens. If you place an animal there that matches the token, you'll receive a *bird* as a reward! NekonyancerNow the game wants to know if you want to reorganize your farm. Every turn, after placing your animal, you have the option of *discarding your new goal card.* If you do, you can either: - Move one animal to an empty spot. - Swap two animals' positions. [red]!!! NekonyancerAnd before you ask, the answer is *no.* You cannot farm birds by repeatedly moving pigs in and out of [red]*this zone.*[/red] Sorry. Those bird bonuses only trigger when animals are placed there, *not swapped in!* Also, you can't swap animals into *[blue]the leader's house![/blue]* Our glorious leader must not be disturbed! Notice that you have a new option at the top: *Use a bird.* Using a bird token lets you wipe either [red]*the goal card row*[/red] or *[blue]the animal row,*[/blue] replacing them with new ones! NekonyancerGreat! The last thing I have to explain is *electing a leader.* When you elect a leader, you must take *[red]1 clan card[/red]* and *[blue]1 animal[/blue]* from the election area. Clan cards are basically just harder goals, so this action is very similar to your normal "hire an animal" action. There are four important differences though:1election-container

Nekonyancer*1)* You can only elect a leader *once.* It can be as early or late in the game as you like. *2)* The animal you select as your glorious leader must go in the [blue]*farmer's house.*[/blue] That animal is too important to leave the house and spend time with the common animals.2election-cards_item_23

Nekonyancer*3)* The cards and animals are not tied together into sets. You may take any available clan card and any available animal. *4)* The election area is NEVER refilled. Thus, the longer you wait before electing a leader, the fewer choices you'll have!3election-cards_item_23

NekonyancerAnd that's everything! After nine turns, players will count up the points on their completed goal cards, plus 1 for each unused bird. [blue]*Whoever has the most points wins!*[/blue] If there's a tie, whoever has the *fewest bird tokens* wins!4archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment
