NekonyancerIn *Symbiose,* each player is given a personal pond of eight face down cards. Players will take turns replacing face down cards in their ponds with face up cards from the [blue]*river.*[/blue] Each card has a specific scoring condition that can apply to either their own cards or an opponent's cards.2maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerAfter eight rounds, each player will have eight face up cards in their pond. At that point, BGA will count up the points. [green]Whoever scores the most points wins![/green]3maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerAt the beginning of the game, all players must simultaneously select one card from their pond to flip over. *Click on this card!*4card_12_back

NekonyancerOkay, now we can take our first turn! All we have to do is select one of the cards in the [blue]*river*[/blue] and swap it with one of the cards in our pond. [blue]But which card should we take?[/blue]1card_11

NekonyancerTo decide, let's take a closer look at the card we flipped over. Each card has three important features: a *color,* an *creature,* and a *scoring condition.* [red]*This card*[/red] is a blue fish that scores 3 points for each green card in our pond.2card_12

Nekonyancer*WRONG!* We placed this card on the *left edge* of our pond. Instead of synergizing with cards in *our own* pond - like our blue fish is doing - it will synergize with the cards in the *adjacent pond!*2card_21

NekonyancerThe opponent to our left has [blue]*one frog*[/blue] in their pond right now, so our dragonfly card is currently worth *5 points.*3card_9

NekonyancerWhile we're looking at our opponent, note the scoring condition and position of their [blue]*frog.*[/blue] It's on the *right edge* of their pond, so it's worth 2 points per dragonfly in *our* pond.4card_9

NekonyancerAs more cards are revealed, it can get a little hard to keep track of how much each card is worth. BGA will keep a running tally in our [red]*Player Info Panel*[/red] (if game option „scoring mode“ is set to „beginner“). As expected, the card in our top-left corner (the green dragonfly with frog synergy) is currently worth *5 points.* The blue fish with green synergy is currently worth *3.*5score5_92146574

NekonyancerLet's think about our next turn. Three of the cards in the river offer [red]*flat victory points.*[/red] Those cards are simply worth the amount shown, even when they are placed on the edge of a pond.6card_16

NekonyancerLet's take the fish. It has the highest number, and it's green, which means another 3 points! *Click on the fish!*7card_16

NekonyancerAgain, since it's a card with a flat amount of points, it doesn't matter where we place it in our pond. *Place the fish here!*1card_13_back

NekonyancerThe green dragonfly offers 5 points per blue card, which is a very high rate. And again, since it's green, we'll score another 3 points from our blue fish! *Select the green dragonfly!*2card_33

NekonyancerAs for placement, we could put it in one of our middle columns to synergize with our own blue cards or an edge to synergize with an opponent's cards. If you play with 2 or 4, the rules will change! *Duel mode (2 players):* The river expands to 8 cards so it can function as a third pond.
