In the surrounding countryside, you find mystical stone circles and medieval ruins, build new pastures for your flocks of sheep, and produce whiskey in traditional distilleries. NekonyancerIn *Tipperary,* players will select tiles and skillfully add them to their displays to create the largest possible rectangular area. Players who also manage to use the special landscape features will come out on top! [green]The game ends after each player has taken 12 tiles. Whoever has the most points wins![/green]2maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerThe main "board" is actually a [red]*wheel*[/red] with five coats-of-arms on top, each representing a different player. There are five areas around the wheel, with two tiles in each one. [blue]At the beginning of each round,[/blue] BGA spins the wheel. Each player must then take a tile from whichever area their coat-of-arms is pointing to!3wheel-interior

NekonyancerIn this case, we're the [blue]blue player,[/blue] and it looks like our flag is pointing to [red]*this area.*[/red] We must select one of the tiles there and add it to our personal display!4wheel-interior

NekonyancerBGA helpfully put magnified versions of those tiles at the top of the screen. *Try clicking on [red]this one.[/red]* A placement reticle should have appeared in our display!5tile-26-selector

NekonyancerIf the tiles are too big or small for you, feel free to use the [blue]*Zoom buttons*[/blue] on the left to find a more manageable size. If you need to reposition, simply click on our display, hold down the mouse button, and move the mouse around.611941354_3_0

NekonyancerYou've probably already noticed that we started the game with a large tile already in our display. That's our *Hometown.* Each tile that we add to our board must *touch* our Hometown or another previously placed tile. [red]Corners don't count as touching![/red]711941354_3_0

NekonyancerPosition our new tile along the bottom of our Hometown, like this: [img]https://x.boardgamearena.net/data/tutorials/img69b7aa7a398203.46789232.jpg[/img] You'll need to use [blue]*these buttons*[/blue] to rotate the tile and [red]*this button*[/red] to flip it. *When our board matches the picture, click on this textbox to continue. Nekonyancer*Great!* Next, let's talk about why we chose that specific spot for our new tile. First of all, it covers three units of our Hometown's perimeter. At the end of the game, we'll score [green]5 points[/green] if our Hometown is *completely* and *tightly enclosed* by other tiles. That means no empty spaces, and the Hometown's corners can't peek out.111941354_4_2

NekonyancerSecond, our placement allowed two dark blue squares to touch. Those squares are [blue]*Bogs,*[/blue] and when we line two of them up, we create a *protected site.* [green](Step 10/37)[/green]211941354_4_1

NekonyancerThe reward for creating a protected site is a *random 1x1 tile.* We must immediately add it to our display. Move your mouse around our display for a second. As you can see, our random 1x1 tile turned out to be another bog!311941354_4_2

NekonyancerIf we attach it to our existing Protected Site, we won't gain anything. Nekonyancer[green]Okay, that's it for our first turn![/green] Our opponent is still deciding what to do. When everyone is ready, new tiles will be added to the main board to replace the ones we took. Then BGA will spin the wheel again for Round 2!111941354_4_1

Nekonyancer*Great!* That placement didn't bring us closer to our goal of enclosing our Hometown, but it lined up some [red]*Ruins*[/red] and [blue]*Distilleries*[/blue] quite nicely.111941354_2_5

NekonyancerIf we make a row of three connected [red]*Ruins,*[/red] we'll get a *Tower.* [img]https://x.boardgamearena.net/data/tutorials/img69b7aa7cb3a4c8.04282489.jpg[/img] Towers are 1x1 spaces that we can place at the end of the game to fill in any *holes* on our board.211941354_2_4

NekonyancerEach time we position a [blue]*Distillery*[/blue] next to a *Field* or vice-versa, we can advance one space on the *Whiskey track.* [img]https://x.boardgamearena.net/data/tutorials/img69b7aa7db43df1.59837108.jpg[/img] At the end of the game, we'll score however many points are indicated on the last space we reach. NekonyancerThe tile we just placed is made up of four *Meadow* spaces. Meadows aren't worth any points, but it's the only kind of terrain that can accommodate *Sheep.*111941354_0_1

NekonyancerAt the end of the game, we'll score [green]1 point[/green] for each Sheep in our *largest connected flock.* Sheep that are separated from that flock are worth nothing. In addition, the player with the largest flock in the game will earn an extra [green]5 points![/green] [green](Step 20/37)[/green]211941354_0_1

NekonyancerIf you check the player info panels, you'll see that our [blue]*largest flock*[/blue] consists of 6 Sheep... and so does our opponent's! However, our opponent reached 6 Sheep first, so they'll hold onto the [red]*5-point bonus tile*[/red] until we manage to pass them.3overall_player_board_92143487

Whenever we reach such a space, we must place a *Wooden Sheep* on an empty Meadow in our display.211941354_3_0

Nekonyancer*Good!* Wooden sheep function exactly the same way as normal Sheep, but clever players can use them to connect flocks together. Just remember that they can only go on *empty Meadows.*1meeple-1

NekonyancerThere's one more way to get Wooden Sheep. [red]*Some tiles*[/red] have Wooden sheep *attached* to them, as indicated by this icon: [img]https://x.boardgamearena.net/data/tutorials/img69b7aa87b03d71.37684282.jpg[/img] When we choose such a tile, we immediately get the Sheep. It doesn't have to be placed on the tile it came with.2tile-12

NekonyancerOne last thing about Distilleries and Fields before we go on: there is no limit to how many Fields a Distillery can harvest, and no limit to how many Distilleries a Field can supply. That means we can move another step on the Whiskey track by placing a Field [red]*here!*[/red]311941354_2_3

Nekonyancer*Great!* We completed a [red]*row of 3 Ruins,*[/red] which means we received a [blue]*Tower*[/blue] as a reward! Again, we can place our Towers at the end of the game to fill holes in our display. [green](Step 30/37)[/green]1towers-11941354

NekonyancerBy the way, I mentioned earlier that we won't gain anything by adding additional Bogs to existing Protected Sites, but the same is not strictly true for Ruins. We can't get anything by extending a row of Ruins further, but a single Ruin can be a part of two perpendicular rows. That means we can get another Tower by placing Ruins [red]*here*[/red] and [red]*here!*[/red]211941354_3_4

NekonyancerThere's only one more kind of space I have to tell you about: [red]*Stone Circles.*[/red] We've already placed three such spaces. They're pretty simple. We score points equal to the number on each Stone Circle space in our display.311941354_3_4

Nekonyancer[blue]Okay, I think you've seen enough![/blue] The game will continue for a total of *12* rounds. After that, BGA will count up the points!4maintitlebar_content

Nekonyancer[blue]Each player's final score includes...[/blue] *1. Area.* BGA will automatically find the largest rectangular area with no holes in each player's display. Nekonyancer*2. Sheep.* Each player earns 1 point per Sheep in their largest connected flock. Sheep in other flocks are worth nothing. The player with the largest flock gains an extra 5 points. *3.
