Goal of the Game
Climb to the top of the tree and beat Kurgill's traps.
Game Play
1. Flip over a spell card and apply its effects.
2. Actions (total of 2 action points):
a. Draw a tree card (1 AP), or
b. Attempt to climb the tree (1 AP), or
c. Set traps on your opponent (1 AP / 2 traps)
Beating the 3 cards at the tree top must be done all at once. This action cost 2 AP. Note that some spell will take away 1 AP from you.
Traps
Traps are tree top cards. Traps are evaluated after your tree climbing action. Numbers on the trap cards are compared to the cards you used to beat the tree trunk. If any of the card(s) you used have the same value, your tree climbing action has failed and you remain at the same level.
Traps can only be set on someone at the tree trunk level.
Maximum traps that can be set on a player is 4. Additional ones are discarded.
The Axe spell allows you to chop a tree trunk (swap a card) or chop a trap on a player (yes, you can be nice and chop a trap for your opponent).
