Detailed description
• Which part of the rules was not followed by the BGA adaptation?
The 5 one off ability as is seems to be a variant of discarding an additional card to draw 3. Per pagat and other rules like Cuttle.cards or the instructions to wreck, you just discard the 5 and draw 2 cards.• Is the rules violation visible on game replay? If yes, at which move number?

The 5’s ability seems to be a variant, and not the normal use of one-off.

Pagat describes the Original/Traditional rules for the game (which are available under the "Traditional" game variant on BGA).
Cuttle.cards, which was the inspiration for the "Balanced" rules set, has the player use the 5, discard an additional card, then draw 3 (www.cuttle.cards/rules#oneoffs).
Pagat's variant information may be outdated, since that was a rule change on cuttle.cards a few years ago, after a community vote.
