When I play at the turn-based table, I want the ability to make my decision already during the opponent's turns, so they do not need wait for my move later.
For example, there is a table for 5 people. New round. I am a dealer, got 2,7 off-suit. I see there is a raise "under the gun". Of course, I do not want play my hand and I am going to fold.
Currently, everybody and I need to wait when the "cut off" player makes his decision (if the one in other timezone it might be 5-6 hours), then everybody needs to wait for my decision (yet another 5-6 hours, if it's my bed time when "cut off" does its move). So 10-12 hours just for 2 moves.
Having the option to fold at the opponent's turn, I set the flag to fold and the game does not need my presence at the table now, as soon as it becomes my turn, the game will fold my cards and save 5-6 hours for other players. If others use the same option, that would be a terrific save of play time.
It can be applicable for real-time games as well but the time-saving will be up-to a few minutes, not days.
Developing this idea further: the pre-action can be also a raise, not only fold. For example, I got a strong hand on flop and I am going to go "all in" or make a significant raise to force "all in" for others. I can make this decision in advance and perform a bet disregard of others' moves, and of course the bet (or fold) will be revealed later during my turn. -

That would indeed be a very cool feature, I'll try to think of a way to implement that.
Thanks for your input.
My turn based game started with 6 players but went down to 3 very quickly. This is manageable although as has been mentioned before it seems necessary to read the logs before making a move.
When it becomes your turn could the last actions since you last turn be replayed slowly on screen as you enter the table? This might help give you the feel of playing a live game.
Option to sit out hands sounds like another ticket.
THIS ticket I greatly agree with. Poker sites typically have that, when you know for sure what you're going to do on your turn you can pre-click that. Makes action much snappier. And yeah even more useful here on BGA where turn-based play is possible.
I would like if the implementation made it possible to click what you want before your turn (like fold or call) and only wants confirmation if something changes before your turn. would make gameplay a bit faster with many players
Thanks!
