Nekonyancer[img]https://x.boardgamearena.net/data/tutorials/https___snipboard.io_RL9At8.jpg[/img] Your objective is to be the first player with a hand of identically colored cards! [green][tip] This tutorial is best viewed on a computer![/green]1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000
NekonyancerEach player starts with a hand of *seven* cards. Most of the cards have a *different color* on each side (some may have the same color on both sides). Each player can only see *one side* of their hand. [red]Their opponents can see the other side![/red]2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000
NekonyancerOn your turn, you must perform [blue]three different actions[/blue] in any order. Those actions are: *- Give a card.* *- Take a card.* *- Flip a card.*3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000
NekonyancerLet's start by *giving a card.* When you give a card, it can be placed directly in an opponent's hand OR on top of [red]*the draw pile.*[/red] Hmm, which card should we give?4cid_11941354_7000cid_draw 6
NekonyancerWell, we want to get a hand of *identically colored cards,* and we have [green]two greens,[/green] so we should keep those. We should keep the *white card* too (see arrow) - whites are *wild!*5cid_11941354_7000cid_11941354_2 12 cid_11941354_6 3 cid_11941354_7 3
NekonyancerLet's give the purple card away! *1.* Select the *purple* card in our hand. *2.* Click on the purple card that appeared in [green]*nekonekoneko4's*[/green] box!6archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment010cid_11941354_3 16
Nekonyancer*Good!* Note that when we gave the card away, it did *NOT* flip over, so we still don't know what color is on the other side of that card. [green]Our opponents know though![/green]1cid_92146574_8645adff214d4c00cid_92146574_8 11
NekonyancerNext, let's *take a card.* When you take a card, it can either be from an opponent's hand *OR* the top of the [red]*draw deck.*[/red]2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645adff214d4c00cid_draw 6
Nekonyancer*1.* Click on the green card in [red]*nekonekoneko3's*[/red] hand! *2.* Click on the *"Take"* button that pops up!3cid_92143487_2645adff214d4c10cid_92143487_2 16
Nekonyancer*Great!* Again, note that the card *did not flip* when we took it. The last thing we have to do is *flip a card.* Hmm... we certainly don't want to flip any of our green cards or the white card.1cid_11941354_7645adff96ef8600cid_11941354_7 11
Nekonyancer*1.* Click on the [red]*red*[/red] card in our hand! *2.* Click on the *"Flip"* button that pops up!2cid_11941354_6645adff96ef8610cid_11941354_4 16
NekonyancerHuh, this card happened to be red on *both* sides. Alright, that's one complete turn. Remember, those three actions we did can be done *in any order.* The number of cards in your hand can change, but you can *never* have [red]less than 4[/red] or [red]more than 10[/red] cards. [blue]Now our opponents will take their turns...[/blue]1cid_11941354_4645ae005eaebb00
NekonyancerAlright, it's our turn again. I have to tell you more about white cards and black cards - they each have a special ability! If you use your *give a card* action to place a *white card* on top of the *draw deck,* you can immediately trade your entire hand with an opponent! Again, none of the cards will flip during this, so [red]what you see is what you get![/red]1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae0d597c0a00
NekonyancerIf you ever *see* a *black* card in your hand, your entire hand will instantly flip over! [green][tip] In the rare case that there happens to be a black card on the other side of your hand too, that one black card will be flipped again.[/green]2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae0d597c0a00
Nekonyancer[blue]I'll show you both of these abilities now.[/blue] We'll put a white card on top of the deck, letting us swap hands with an opponent. We'll swap with [green]*nekonekoneko4.*[/green] Remember, [red]what you see is what you get,[/red] so we'll end up with a black card in our hand. That means our new hand will instantly flip over! *Continue to the next text box.*3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae0d597c0a00
NekonyancerLet's do it! *1.* Select the indicated white card. *2.* Click on the *"Put on top"* button that appeared over the draw pile! *3.* Click on the *"Swap hand"* button on [green]*nekonekoneko4's*[/green] hand.4archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae0d597c0a10cid_11941354_8 16
Nekonyancer*Great!* That was just our *give a card* action. We still have to use our *take a card* and *flip a card* actions. *Take our white card back from the draw pile!*1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae0e86c4d610cid_draw 16
Nekonyancer*Finally, flip the [green]green card[/green] in our hand!*1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae0fbd715510cid_11941354_6 16
Nekonyancer*Okay, I think you've seen enough!* Remember, when one player has a hand of identically colored cards, [green]they instantly win the game![/green]1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae1002fd9000
NekonyancerThe last thing I have to mention is the options in the game lobby! *Known information:* BGA can display *reminders* when you see the other sides of cards. This makes it much easier to play turn-based games! *Initial Draw:* BGA can reveal all hands at the beginning of the game. 2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae1002fd9000
Nekonyancer[blue]*Thank you for playing through this tutorial for Color Flush!*[/blue] If you have any questions or comments about the tutorial, feel free to send *Nekonyancer* a message! A big thank you goes out to *darhf* for bringing this game to BGA! Have fun! :D3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment645ae1002fd9000
