Gangsta! is a battle for influence between different bosses and their faction.
Let's start by first recruiting a new gangster, the one with the Mercenary (grey) and Sniper (red) skills. We start the game with 8$ (the value of our boss) and the recruitment cost of this gangster is 4$. Let's hire him!
Select this gangster, then select the 'Recruit' button.

LokhirNow that it's the next player's turn, he will probably do the same and recruit his/her first gangster. During their turn, players can choose one of the following actions:
- Recruit a gangster;
- Perform a heist;
- Pass.
To perform a heist, your team needs to have the required skills indicated in the upper left corner of the heist card.

LokhirIt's our turn, and the good news is that we can perform one of the available heists. The ‘Armored Van’ heist requires a ‘Leader’ skill (yellow) that our Boss has, and a 'Mercenary' skill (grey) that our other gangster has. By performing this heist, we gain 3$, as indicated by the reward icon.

LokhirBefore performing an action, there is a mobilization phase. Players will try to have as many available gangsters before performing an action. All our gangsters having participated in a heist, they are now considered as Engaged.
The ideal situation is to end a turn with all gangsters Engaged: the gang is then considered as Synchronized and all gangsters will be available when our next turn begins.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment635961955807c00
LokhirLet's recruit another gangster! With our current 7$, we can hire any of them.
Let's hire the girl on the left. With her skills, we will be able to perform the Casino heist later. Besides, having Mercenary skills (grey icon) on our team is always a good thing. LokhirIt's now Lokhir’s turn to play. As he doesn't have the required skills to perform any heist on the table, he has to pass his turn. When you pass your turn, you receive one dollar per 'Leader' skill in your team (yellow icon). Lokhir has 2 so he therefore gains 2$. 1avheists635961cedaeae00skill_leader_84759910 1
LokhirPassing your turn also allows you to discard any available heist or gangster cards on the table (but it’s optional). As Lokhir wants to prevent his opponent from performing the 'Jewelry' heist, he chooses to discard it. 1avheists_item_10635961d53fe8200avheists_item_10 1

Select this heist card, then the gangsters who have the 'Mercenary' skills. Confirm when it's done.

LokhirIt's not always possible to have your gang synchronised, but there are other options.
For all available gangsters in your team who have a 'Leader' skill during the mobilisation phase, you can make an 'Engaged' gangster available for free. The effect is cumulative if you have multiple 'Leader' skills available.

LokhirIn order to perform this 'Art Theft', we just need a 'hacker' skill and a 'sniper' skill. We will therefore use our available Leader's ability and make one of our 'engaged' gangster available for free.

LokhirThe 'Art Theft' heist provides 2 dollars, but also a learning skill. It means that one of our participating gangsters will be able to learn it, and we will therefore get a third 'Mercenary' skill on our team.

LokhirTime to choose which of these two gangsters will learn the skill. Our Boss has a special ability: he can never be discarded, whatever the circumstances (spoiler: there are a lot of ways to lose a gangster later in the game).

LokhirThe game is divided into 3 different Chapters. As soon as one of the players recruits his/her 4th gangster (Boss included), Chapter I comes to an end and Chapter II begins.
The Chapter I deck of heist cards is replaced by the Chapter II deck, and 5 new heist cards are placed on the table for this 2nd Chapter.

LokhirThe first player to recruit his/her 7th gangster will trigger the end of Chapter II and the start of Chapter III.
When a player recruits his/her 9th gangster, it means the game has come to an end. That being said, there are still a few things you need to learn before getting there.

LokhirChapter I is about to end. The end of every chapter brings its own specific event. Chapter I closes with the event called the 'Opportunity Income'.
Each player adds up the amount of skills acquired within his/her gang. The player(s) who has/have the smallest amount of skills receive the differential amount converted to dollars.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment635962d4379d000

LokhirThe heist cards from Chapter II are on the table, each player has received his/her opportunity income and we can now continue playing, following the same turn order.
As you probably noticed, there are new rewards displayed on the heist cards ... and also a new type of heists: the 'Cooperative heist'.

LokhirThis 'Offshore Investment' and the ‘Art Theft’ heists are both cooperative heists. You have to initiate the heist with at least one of your gangsters. After having done so, you may choose any gangster from your gang or from your opponents' gang, as soon as he/they is/are available and possess(es) at least one of the required skills1avheists6359631abc98100avheists_item_33 2 avheists_item_38 2
LokhirLet's practice it with the 'Offshore Investment', and send first our bald gangster. We will then complete the heist with Lokhir's only available gangster. This will allow us to get both rewards while Lokhir will only get the 2$ reward. LokhirA Snitch card just appeared! During Chapter II and III, 'Snitch' cards will randomly appear from the heist deck. Once a 'Snitch' card is revealed, each player compares the attack level of the 'Snitch' card (between 2 and 4) and his defense level. The defense level depends on the number of 'Informant' skills (green icon) in the player's gang. LokhirHaving to pay dollars to counter snitch attacks can be a pain, but it's still better than being caught! Players without enough money left to counter the Snitch attack will have to discard a gangster of their choice.

One last thing you need to know : the 'Gang War', which is the event occurring at the end of Chapter II.
Each player adds up the amount of Mercenaries in his/her gang. The player with the most Mercenaries skills wins the war and thus avoids losing gangsters. In all other cases, players have to choose one of their gangsters to discard.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment635963f5daf1400
